The requirements to access the ASUS Web interface
1. You need the ASUS router.
2. You require good network connectivity through LAN wire, or Wi-Fi will also work.
3. Updated Chrome browser.
These steps will help you set up the ASUS router and will guide and help you access the ASUS router’s interface.
Step 1: Make sure you are connected to your ASUS router.
For setting up the ASUS router pages, you must be connected to its network. Connect your Wi-fi or LAN cable to the ASUS router for making changes. If in case you forgot your Wi-Fi password, then an alternative for it LAN cable can be used, and it doesn’t require a password.
Step 2: Open your web browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1
For accessing the ASUS router page, open the chrome browser, and in the search field, type the following IP address 192.168.1.1. This is the common IP address of the ASUS router. If this IP address fails to work, then you can try using the default one. Default ASUS IP address will help you access the page. Once you are entering the IP address, the webpage will open up. You will notice login credentials over there.
Step 3: Enter the username and password for your ASUS router.
Make sure to enter the right login username and password and then click on sign in. If you forgot your username and password, look in the default ASUS credentials and reset them. Credentials are also available at the back of your router.
How to Configure your ASUS Router
Be careful before changing the ASUS router settings. You can also note down all the current settings, so if you go wrong somewhere and lose connection, then you can get back with that notes to the original settings. If you have noted down the settings, that is only the last thing to help you. If you still got access to the ASUS interface, then just log in and revert to the changed settings. Obviously, that will happen if you had written the settings previously.
